After a long week of travel along the Dempster highway, we came looking for a hearty meal... and we found it here. We got a meal combo for three for our family of 5 and had leftovers. The service was fantastic! The food was fresh and tasty. Left a good tip here for sure! Will return, highly recommended!
The great place to have some Chinese food here!! We travelled from Toronto and stopped by this wonderful place to have some delicious fried rice and wonton soup. We took some pictures with restaurant owner and wrote down our names and promise we gonna come back with our family. Great people and great place, it was a priceless unforgettable trip in my life. Thank you for opening this Chinese restaurant in Dawson city!
They got one star because I can't rate as zero ! Don't even let your dog in here , becoz the Chinese woman here is untamed and Uncivilized. She has found a good place far from civilization, yet still she should be far away from even , Dawson city ! She has not been taught to talk to people . Let alone cook anything ! She is in the right place where as she doesn't have to meet many people . Side note , You certainly don't have to eat Chinese in Dawson city !
One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in Canada. When I arrived to pick up my order, the Chinese lady walks up to me and with a total lack of cordiality just blurts the price without a hello or welcome. The Chinese lady who owns the restaurant would not serve me a cup of water until she knew I had paid even though I was in the process of paying. She wouldn't hand me the cup or jug of water rather she dropped it away from her and I. The waitress was top notch in service and so was the Chinese man who was working in the kitchen but the Chinese lady was straight up racist. They have good food and this was my second time eating at the restaurant in the same day so it was surprising to be treated like I was not welcome while I am in the process of paying for my takeout fried rice. Never returning to Gold Village.
